just a quick note to tell the 1 or 2 ppl that read my blog :P that I havnt been posting beacause someone has stolen my new laptop, with ALL my photos that I had been preparing for my blog, I had about 500 images all ready to go and some wonderful person took my laptop. So this is the first time I have actually been able to come back as I was pretty broke up about it. I forced myself back here just to write this note and to say that i will be back (I have some great toys to show). And So if you have stumbled across this blog or have been here before I hope you will come back soon for some cool eye candy and fun times..
peace all

the Killer Awakes
Bwana Spoons hits the ground running with his first attempts at resin. All new sculpts combining under the title of his 'Jelly Factory'. Dolly, Mr Hampton, and this (awakening?) killer are a few of the characters. There are others and hopefully more to come. I was lucky enough to score a one of 10 Jelly Killer. A beautiful translucent red with a bright orange spray down his back spines and a soft pinkish spray on the feet. I was quite chuffed to see Bwana had written my name on the the killers foot next to the edition number and his signature. A nice personal touch that I am sure the people who were lucky enough to get one of these would appreciate. Bwana has added another spice to his gumbo and it just got yummier. People will definitely be coming back for more.

Gold Cycloman
At first glance, the colours on this dude gave me the feeling of a cheap toy....
But after having him sit on the shelf for a while my opinion is that this gold rub style cycloman really adds a different element and contrasts well with my other toys, especially my silver and black ones.
All and all a different kind of toy that has its place on my shelf.

CCP LARS,KARRAS.
Another curious release. In March CCP debuted this little fellah standing all of 3.5" The funny thing is they released him in 17 colourways all at once!
I was only able to get a grey one but atleast it was a glow version
It came in all sorts of crazy colours like pink, green, orange and gold.
I think this guys name was "Karras", he was Dr Gori's Henchman in the Spectreman series. I have no idea what the Lar or the 1971 is in reference to. The year Spectreman ormaybe CCP started ? I am probably way off.

Thought Id chuck this little fellah up. Research be buggered. I think it is an early gargamel which is a repro of those little eraser toys from back in the day. I know nothing of the character. If and when I do I will come back to this post. A simplelooking piece with a basic silver spray.
He stands just under 4" or 15 cm.

no gargamel stamp underfoot so Im not 100% sure it is a gargamel.

stirling steven
Like something found in an indian bazar. A collaboration between Fully visual and Bwana spoons. Apparently, a young fan drew a picture of steven and sent it to Bwana and he chose to use the childs drawing as the source for the metal sculpt done by the man behind FULLY VISUAL.
Now thats the spirit of collaboration.

And RealxHeads Cycloman inspired by another artist (that poorly wont come to mind right now).
This is a gold rub version, hangin with the silver steven....cool anywhich way shekit

VADER
A shot of the cool RxH x Ichibanboshi Vader. This is the first painted. The first one that came out was an unpainted green vinyl. The finish on this give me the feeling of a varnished darkwood. I love this sculpt Real x heads sculpts have so much going for them. They ooooze character and other worldliness. I just picked up the new mikazuki joe with its subdued but rich purple vinyl with brown and silver paint Which I hope to post some close ups of soon. 2 nice. Quality.

Wildtings
Party in the long grass. over the last few days Ive caught site of a few little things out of the corner of my eyes. Ive managed to get a few snaps of these crazy little creatures in the corners of the garden.

Some sort of pow wow.

A close up

I think I was spotted.

All of these toys are wonderful examples of the burgeoning (yep burgeoning) independent toy scene (for lack of a better term).
First off we have Koji Harmon's (comet debris) stunning toy debut TOKOJI SEIJIN Designed by Koji made by Gargamel. An excellent continuation to his bright energetic and highly sort after toy customs. This was his first available custom painted self designed tokoji seijin. Which I luckily acquired. And am proud to have in my care. (despite the little bugger running around outside where he knows he shouldnt be)
Then there is Grumble toys toy debut. The diminutive yet massively charming wormrah based on Ainsley Sturko's illustrations. Handpainted by Chris from Grumble toy And lovingly sculpted by Amapro This is the first colourway with lovely bright yellow and orange stripe on his belly. Then a second far more lmtd "graphite" version of 5 was available. A cool all over dark gray, which I unfortunately missed. And I have just noticed that Amapro has just released a version(prob a japan only rease but I will def be looking into it).
And to top it off 2 fantastic and matching new Thrashout versions of the GargamelxBwana collab Fancy Haircut Hedorah And Bwana's Killer, resplendent in their cool green and yellow colourway. Again Bwana nails it with a cohesive and refreshing vershun,,,nuff respect.

basic hed
2 skulls 1-1 size.
A couple of skulls to come out of a mould made from a clay skull I dund.
I thought it would be interesting in comparison to secretbase's newly released, slick vinyl rotocast 1-1 size skull with my super low end down n dirty diy effort of late last year. Made from a 3 piece plaster of paris mould. I needed something relatively cheap to "cast"? the skull so I bought an expansion foam mix to pour into the mould. A messy process. Sometimes I feel like I am a million miles away from anyware and 1000 light years behind the rest of the world, lol. hence the title "basic hed"

BEMON BAIT
Anraku Ansaku's Gogamezilla flew into my place the otherday and with a fair wad of money I convinced it to stay. Just a common variety among a rare breed. But a lovely translucent orange none the less. Normally a big fan of unpainted vinyl, it is the first piece of unpainted sofubi that I thought I could actually get painted and considerably improve it. He is very textured and has very bumpy skin that would look great all coloured up, as seen on other more colourful varieties. Anyway for now I will enjoy its pure raw state. Its a crazy orange.
This Gogamezilla is a big hunk of vinyl weighing in just shy of 400gms or 12.5 ounces and standing about 28cm or 11" tall. Thats a hefty piece of kaiju.

Baby Zegorans
Toygraph is one one of those companies that just quietly goes about pumping out cool designs. From their Kaiju racers, to their quirky godzillas, to their new "Space Tropera's". I grabbed a couple of their recent release Baby Zegorans "In a metal Box".
They released 4 Types - Grey - Black - Grey with blood - Black with Blood.
I got the 2 blood types (excuse the pun).

Still in the embrionic sac.

Is that their umbilical cords ontop of their head?

Looks like sibling rivalry is starting at a very early age.

go Toygraph.

Without a doubt there are zag fans out there right now coming up with rad paint for their clear zag. Getting it ready for the competition to see who gets their design turned into an official production run. Very cool. Alas I am just not sorted enough to settle down and turn out a cool custum right now. I am bummed but I just dont have the time or space. (excuse excuses,I know). However I am totally stoked at at my small army of crystal zags, radiant in their purity. So ofr now they will stay clean skins. Actually i really I hope I can resist the urge to customise them. I really like them the way they are. But time will tell. Anyw ay enjoy some pics.

Super Positive-- SuperPosition
Oh yeah As soon as I saw this sculpt with its pink colour, I fell in love. What a cool looking piece of Japanese vinyl goodness. Sculpted by Mori for Super position store in Japan(i think) What is Superposition I hear you ask.
Well according to wikipedia, this:
In linear algebra, the superposition principle refers to two related ideas in linear systems.
The first version[1] of the superposition principle states that, for a linear system of the form F(x)=0 (sometimes called homogeneous), any sum (or more generally, linear combination) of solutions to the system is also a solution to the same system:
IF \; 0=F(x_1)=F(x_2)=\cdots , THEN \; F(x_1+x_2+\cdots)=0.
An important application of this is to waves, which are often described by wave equations of this form. For example, in electromagnetic theory, ordinary light is described as a superposition of waves of different frequency and polarization, moving in different directions.
The second version of the superposition principle states that, for a linear system of the form F(x)=r, where x is some sort of stimulus and r is some sort of response (or vice-versa), the superposition (i.e., sum) of stimuli yields a superposition of responses:
F(x_1+x_2+\cdots)=F(x_1)+F(x_2)+\cdots.
In other words, in a linear system,
The net response at a given place and time caused by two or more independent stimuli is the sum of the responses which would have been caused by each stimulus individually.
This has many applications in physics and engineering, because many physical systems can be modeled as linear systems.
The superposition principle (in either version) applies to any linear system, including algebraic equations, linear differential equations, and systems of equations of those forms. The stimuli and responses could be numbers, functions, vectors, vector fields, time-varying signals, or any other object which satisfies certain axioms. Note that when vectors or vector fields are involved, a superposition is interpreted as a vector sum.
And I thought it was a cool toy named after a store in Japan.
If anyone can understand that...well keep it to yourself.
Sorry to do that to you. Here is some eye candy to make up for it.

I think there are about 3 variations of this figure so far This one. A pink with black and another(not sure of the colour)

Funk isnt a term you here used much around kaiju. BUt I think it describes alot of these toys/figures perfectly. This Superposition is so funky it makes Bootsy look like a an L7. So put the feed bag on kids and chow down on the uberfunk that is SUPERPOSITION.

This here is my fav. Desaturated old style

The seasons are changing here in Perth, Beautiful warm days puncuated with short bursts of rain. I like to think of it as a second spring. Nice and mellow, after the hot days of summer.
A concession to the coming chill-windy days of winter.
The giant kiddies pool we bought for the us (and oh yeah the kids), for xmas got a bit ratty so we emptied it out, dragged it out the front for a good cleaning. We're undecided yet whether (excuse the pun) to refill it and let the boys party out in it again before its just, too cold.
Boy Karma broughta couple of his mates out to play.
Seizing the perfect oppurtunity to splash about in a perfect killer environment.

These two little buggers wouldnt get out of our way!

Boy karma got into some serious zenning out.

Zollmens New Missile Gorilla
The nutso new toy by Zollmen.
Check out the headers.

MG5 came with a free gift OMAKE. An unpainted turd looking monster.

This guy comes with a cool old school sash and real chain hanging from his right wrist. He has got plenty of cool litle details.

Not great shots but they give an idea of what this toy offers.
Here a close up of MG5's expression.

And his turdy friend on the header is painted as a ferocious nemesis. But in this size he seems less than a minor annoyance.

And a crazy composition by me These flowers are Dahlias that have just bloomed in my girlfriends backyard.

Jeff Lam SKULL MACHINDER Handscreened Prints
More Great Japanese inspired western art. Designed and screen printed by Jeff Lam. The "Skull" machinder, is his take on the popular Jumbo Machinders. It looks as if he is having a hell of a time. As far as the writing striking down on the ravaged land Jeff says "I copied it from a Manga, it is supposed to say "Balls!" like in an "Oh Shit!" way...but I probably wrote it wrong and it says something completely different..." "Honestly I just liked the way it looked so there it is."
Lol,Right on Jeff! This stuff is great! I cant wait to get mine.

They're a limited run of 50. 10 of each style. I think they might be all sold out.But go check out his other work there isnt much of this style (yet) but talented stuff none the less.http://www.greasebat.com/

A mauled Max nagata X rumble monster Damnedron I thought I'd share this picture of one of my prized possessions after a run in with a visiting child.

I am sure they just wanted to get to the guts inside :)

All in all just a chance to get my camera back in hand.
The first 2 shots are of the brilliant Sky deviller in glitter clear with small Onell designed Glo Phyden and Crayboth inside. Such a great toy. Following shots include the 777 Blobpus and dokugan. And the new Rumble monster Pharon. Black with a subtle silver spray, agian an awseome toy, aah I am really enjoying my toys at the moment.

Ok The first shot is a colourful detail/closeup of a small finger puppet DADA. my first dada figure, though I have wanted to get some more of these Dada's ever since I saw a pic of them quite a way back, I havnt been able to get any besides this little beauty, so I think its appropriate, my collection can only grow up! ahem excuse me..
.jpg)
This next shot has to be one of my fav photos so far, its is of a small Kozik toy smorkin slug inside Edward Gator's Butterfly net.

Elpanda
.jpg)
EEK, Non kaiju, tsk tsk, blah blah.
Here is a pic I snapped of Muttpops popular ELPANDA this is the GID variant. Thought Id put him up coz I like the venetians!
He was meant have a blue glow jacket but there was a fuck up somewhere down the line and it didnt eventuate. But I decided to keep him anyway. I dig the black lines around the mouth and eyes on the plain glow figure.
X A M
Xam! Captain Maxx's Nemesis.
Im loving both these colourways. The green and puple together on this Xam look excellent. But the glow is just beautiful with its one red eye and monocolour is so appealing to me. It seems so solid and well just cool. A Bomb of a toy.

Custom Toys Art by Bob Conge, Plaseebo
Photos by Bob Conge

PLASEEBO CUSTOM Is an independent design and toy producer/label, headed by Bob Conge. This label produces intriguing toys. A great thing about the world of vinyl toys is the ability of an artist to deliver from her/his/its mind( I do believe a few outer worlders are producing toys now) into the 3-d world. A dream of the mind presented in sculptural form.
Bob conge has created some wonderful customs mashing up new and old icons of the world of fantasy.
The quality look of these works of Art blow me away . The raw rubbed look of the 'Mickeyphant'or 'Wannabe Mickey'. The way the pink eyes contrast with the clean white on the'Mickey Mummy'.The plain craziness of the 'Skippy baby' with the complimenting colours of peachy pink and white. The way the white fades into the fleshy pink skin. Not to metion the fun mashups of kaiju craziness of the Bodysnatchin Blobpus' Skullbrains and Skullsaurs (is that a typo or on purpose?.
These are destined to be classics of the genre.
I would like to thank Bob Conge for allowing me to post his Customs on my blog. Most of these wonderul pieces of art have sold (however there are others and I am sure there will be more so head over to http://www.plaseebo.net/(click on title to link) and have a gander at all those wonderful custom toys.
As a sidenote make sure you click their print tab and have a look at some choice artwork by Bob and John Kastner. It'll blow ya hair back!

Murder Pharoahs Handpaint By F Kozik
.jpg)
Murde Pharoahs swimming in a soup of blood.
To the uninitiated this toy may seem a bit daunting or gruesome......
Great eh!
Definatley a style that was/is big with fans of neo kaiju.
This particular one doesnt have the black eye painted in making it even more unique.(you cant make it out in this photo.)
P.s.
I dont have enough time to organise my pics or do as much work on them as I would like so I will just put 'em up . I have a lot of pics I have taken and dont get to spend as much time on them as I would like, so they end up just sitting there.
So Ive decided to just get em out when I have a moment in between jobs (not the best possible scenario but better than nothing)so not much rhyme, reason or order really.
Such is the pace of life some of us choose to lead. Maybe Ill get back to them and finish them off. Who knows?
Untill I get more time to prepare more orderly entries...eat em up yum!
Oy yeah and dont forget to get over to my other blog toyvandalz@blogspot.com to see other photos Ive taken of these same toys only with little twists.

Blobpus The Last Kaiju
For the lovers and the haters.
.jpg)
This should probably be over on my toyvandalz site but I'll forgive myself.
Hmm professional attitude vs personal and casual. This is a question I ask myself when preparing this blog. But it's a question I cannot really answer definitavley (shit I cant even spell the word). So I will let flow as naturaly as i can allow while still trying to affect some form of "proper looking'ness", hoping that even the most jagged of freshly erupted rocks and ideas are smoothed and fined over time.

MADl x SAM figure by Red Magic
.jpg)
This is the "Modern Hero" SAM Artist Series design done for Red Magic
by MADl. This figure is 8.3cm~3.5" tall. It's surprisingly poseable.I really dig this "modern hero" character Madl has concocted. From the design of the skull to the gold teeth, and combined with his other coolaz design $. Put it on a Red Magic SAM and you have sweet little figure! I would also like to pic up his Madl"modern hero" x TV Head collab with KACHING brand to go with my MADl x SAMS.

toyVANDALZ
Well Ive created another photoblog(an evil twin blog), its going to allow me to focus each blog a little better and provide a clearer vision. This one will focus just on simple yet hopefully pleasing pics of the toys and the other blog will basically be a free for all where I can do mashups and freakouts versions of toys hence the name of that blog toyVANDALZ. So get over there and have a peek toyvandalz@blogspot.com. If anyone would like to add some of their own photos of their cherished toys for Toy Neo Hi or toyVANDALZ. Please either leave a comment here or drop a line to artgreedy@hotmail.com

FRESH FUMES
This week I got a whole lot of nutoys in so expect a visual feast of rare toys on here over the coming days and weeks. I have one of the run of 20(25?) MUTTPOP EL pAnda Gobi And Demon PURO Sets. These are basically unpainted blanks there is something about a BLANK that somehow holds my attention even without its painterly adornment. Im guessing its the simplicity that strikes. When you are forced to look purely at the sculpt itself. Its form only. I'm sure they will photograph nicely.
I also got in the very 1st run of S7 GHOSTLAND mini figures and the larger DOKUWASHI. Also related to this set. I will explain more on these later. But they are very interesting figures to say the least.
